Please find our pieces for sale in the Restored page, Original finds and also in the As found page. A few examples of restored pieces can be found in the before and after page, where you can certainly see why the cabinet maker chose the cuts of timber he did especially when they have been restored and polished.
The polishing work is done in the traditional way using shellac and metho. The blog page in time will have some history about local cabinet makers ( Bathurst and district) from the 1800's, the era we love collecting, stay tuned.

The Gordon Family have been in the furniture trade for as long as I can remember. My father, Mac Gordon, has always enjoyed working on cedar antique furniture and has a keen eye for genuine pieces. As a young man he learnt the trade of restoring and French polishing from an old English gentleman in Bathurst and can restore a piece to highlight its special features and timber graining as the cabinet maker had intended.
Cedar wardrobe of larger proportions with moulded cornice above two highly figured matched panel doors with carvings above, flanked by carved corbels, fitted interior, on plinth base, original finish and patina. It always adds a to a piece of antique furniture when you know some of its past history.
