Capers is truly God's little acre on earth. This makes Michael and Jane THE top angels. Stayed a week and had ample time to enjoy the comfort of our accommodation, its surrounds and the superb hospitality of our kind hosts. Bed was wonderfully comfortable after a hard days walking and our room's courtyard so peaceful, despite sharing it with new born Willy Wagtails. Jane is a wonderful, personable cook who deserves a Michelin Hat for all her meals including the packed lunches. Michael serves you generously one minute, gives you great local advice the next and shares a dram at any time. Genuinely

This place was one of the highlights of the trip!
Jane made sure everything was ready for us for the long weekend - fresh bread, bacon, eggs, sausages and mushrooms - and our tour was very comprehensive.
We didn't explore the rest of the area, although we poked our nose into the reception /dining /smoking room - full of history and probably merited an afternoon by itself.
Definitely staying here next time we're in Wollombi!
