Newcastle's beloved Darby Street has been home to Three Monkeys for more than 20 years - serving over 1.5million customers (crazy right?!). Ant was fortunate enough to take over in 2002 and has never looked back! Fate bought Nic and Ant together from the very beginning when Nic was offered a trial and smashed plates on his first day!

Great environment but I gotta say much of the food was very bland. Not entirely sure the chicken I had was seasoned in anyway, and if it was, I could not taste it. Another guest in my party also felt like their food was not seasoned either. Some other really good menu items but largely disappointed.

I would just like to say I had the most amazing experience here. Fox News was doing a segment on their immaculate breakfast, and the restaurant was closed to the public. The owner came out, and asked my girlfriend and I if we were there to eat. He informed us that they weren’t open until 11, but when I told him I just came three hours to dine there - he graciously opened the doors for her and I. Not only was the food absolutely amazing, but the kindness, generosity, and all around atmosphere made this date extraordinary.

Hey Hey parking was a challenge, but the great food made up for it , my queen had the chicken and waffles , chicken seasoning was on point waffle nice and golden, I had the fruity Pebble French toast was good two pieces was a little soggy but 4 was warm I believe it was in the window to long and so was my bacon it was warm, we also had the scrapper slider they was off the hook never had that never seen that on a menu. It would have been five stars but food was warm and not hot we will return again.

We had the opportunity to sit outside and did not have reservations and was seated without a wait.
Our server was friendly and attentive to our table while managing her other tables.
Everything on the menu sounded good and I wanted to try a lil bit of everything but instead decided on the Mighty-Monk griddle which was enough for the 2 of us. If you can’t decide on a burger, pancakes, or potatoes, just order this and you’ll have everything and then some. I didn’t eat the burger as I was more interested in having breakfast food but

GREAT experience all around. We sat at the outside bar since the tables were full, so we still got to enjoy the beautiful day! Bartender was attentive and made great menu suggestions! Such a fun and quirky theme and the food was fabulous. Definitely recommend a burger from here! Oh, and homemade chips!

There's nothing bad to say about Monkey's. Food? Amazing and such a great selection. Beers? Yeah again versatile with the selection. Inside, indoor/outdoor bar and outside seating all rock. Love this place. Also they're known for the roast pork Italian sandwich. Cheesesteak egg rolls are 🔥. The 🐒 🥨 is great. Wings are REALLY good.

Food, atmosphere and service was amazing. Remembered this location because it smelled so good from outside and the outdoor seating thats visible to walking by pedestrians looked cool. It definitely lived up to its expectations and the whole family loved it. Even the kids chicken fingers are like no other restaurants. 2 thumbs up and 5 stars from a happy customer!
