Our Cairns reef fishing charter caters for a maximum of 4 customers while the Cairns river fishing charters cater for 6 customers. We also offer fishing charters in surrounding areas such as Hinchinbrook Island, Mulgrave river, Johnstone river.
On our Cairns fishing charters you can expect to target a huge range of tropical fish species such as Red Emperor, Coral Trout, Nannygai, Trevally, Cobia, Tuna and Spanish Mackerel to name just a few using fishing methods such as trolling, lure casting, jigging and bait fishing.
Because our Cairns fishing charters are for your private group only, tour starting times become fairly flexible but around 7-7.30 am seems to be the preferred kick off time.From there it depends on your interests and preferences. Maybe dropping baits on the reef edge for Coral Trout, Red Throat Emperor and other assorted reef fish or deeper water for Red Emperor, Cod and Nannygai.

Our Cairns Inshore Fishing Charters offer a unique fishing opportunity to catch both river and ocean fish species in a relatively weather protected environment. Fishing around the rocky head lands, bays, inshore wrecks, reef and wonky holes can produce Trevally, Mackerel, Queenfish, Barramundi, Fingermark, Black Jewish, Cobia, Coral Trout and Nannygai.

Carlo is a legend. Spent a solo day with him and ticked so many of my bucket list. Beautiful boat, great guy and knew where to take me to catch some of my best fish. I highly recommend him. And I will definitely be back with my mates. Cause catching all those fish on my own was hard work 😂. Trolling lures, jigging, poppers and bait fishing. We done it all with huge success. Caught so many fish i feel like I done a day at the gym. Thanks heaps mate 👍👍

Carlo is a legend! Very knowledgeable when it comes to his craft, he genuinely takes pride in his work. The vessel is well maintained and the tackle he uses is definitely up to the task. It was a tough day fishing but he persisted where most would have given up and put us onto some great fish. I lost count of how many hookups we had, lost a bunch to sharks and some things that were hooked we had no chance of landing but between the fish we landed and the great conversation it was a awesome day on the water. I highly recommend speaking to Carlo if you want to spend a day out on the water, he works

I had a couple of mates come up to Cairns for a visit and I booked Carlo at short notice for a day trip to the reef. Carlo's boat is an absolute pleasure to fish out of, and is an extremely clean, organised, well kitted out and comfortable boat. I requested that we chase Nannies, Trout and Spanish, and Carlo did not disappoint. While the Spanish spat the hooks on us a few times, we were able to haul in some awesome Nannys, Trout, Trevally and a few other species. We all had such a great day and Carlo is an excellent skipper, who went well out of his way to make sure our day was a memorable one

If you're up in Cairns Carlo is the man to see for a great day of fishing. Top bloke who knows what his doing and won't waste your time or money when the conditions aren't right. Catching fish was a bonus to his awesome company. Will definitely be making a trip back just to go fishing with Carlo.

Went out reef fishing with Captain Carlo and had an amazing time! He was friendly and knowledgeable; we caught way more fish than we anticipated! Originally we had not planned to keep any of the catch as we are here on Holiday without access to a kitchen, but luckily he recommended a fabulous restaurant that cooked up the catch as a three course dinner for a very reasonable price! Carlo even sliced up fresh sashimi right on the boat for us! Will definitely be booking with Captain Carlo again during our next visit to Cairns

Carlo was an amazing captain and fishing guide! My husband and I don’t have the words to express what an awesome day it was and how grateful we are to have found him.
Carlo was super helpful throughout the day, expertly moving around to find new spots if the fish weren’t biting, re-baiting practically with his eyes closed and showing his boating experience while behind the wheel. When I missed a big Tuna hit, he was determined to get me another opportunity - helping me scout out and cast into Tuna boils late into the day. He went above and beyond in every way. We had the best day of fishing ever, hosted by legendary Carlos @ Cairns Fishing Adventures. From the boat being brand spanking new to top quality gear and great secret spots, we just had a blast. Carlos, we are already planning a return soon after the boat load we caught and once the arms get a rest :)
