Nothing says Queensland like our sports bar. Friday arvo is a tradition and Saturday is the big one here as we get stuck right into all the racing action. We're passionate about actually being able to hear the races too so we pump up the volume and make one hell of a day of it. In simple terms, this is a stand-up TAB, everything you need to back a winner.
The total package is how we roll. Our event space is perfect for all occasions from corporate right through to birthdays and celebrations. Packages are thoughtfully pieced together and our events staff are at the ready to get you sorted so you can straight down to business. Our main event space offers a private setting suited to all occasions.

Holidaying in Cairns from SA. Dinner for 3 on 3 Jan 22. Service, friendliness and efficiency was excellent. Very busy bistro for a Monday night. Family friendly with video monitored screen to glass enclosed play room for those with children. Delicious Vindaloo and butter chicken was generous and very much enjoyed. The 300gm porterhouse steak with calamari topper was outstanding! Steak cooked perfectly, med/rare and the calamari was soft and tender and to die for. Also great garlic bread. A really delicious meal at reasonable prices. Highly recommend a visit. Thank you Dunwoody's Tavern. Great food

Our table of 7 arrived and ordered promptly. After 45 minutes wait I enquired when our food would be served and was told "We've had lots of Uber orders" and nothing more. We then had 3 meals, which were lukewarm at best, served 10 minutes later.
The other 4 meals were nowhere to be seen and at the 70 minute mark 1 more meal was served. Our final meals were served some 80 minutes after ordering while 5 of 7 had eaten.
To say it was possibly the worst service I've had would be an understatement.
AVOID this place like the plague.

First time there. Female toilets have been broken for a couple of days and made the whole dining area smell. Not a pleasant experience. Meal was average. Staff were pretty casual about the smell. Not in a hurry to go back. Another customer said it used to be quite good but has deteriorated. Shame, could be really nice place.

Nice bar staff. Though they didn't have no sugar coke & the security guard was sitting on the bench where your supposed to fill out your tickets to be in the draw for the giant tv, not sure if that's a professional way to 'guard' the place...they also only had used pencils, no fresh ones. Bar ladies were super nice & understanding

The $15 meals are good value.
Just while we are all getting used to wearing masks, a couple of the girls in the public bar were very loud and rude if they saw you without a mask on, even if you were moving 6 feet from a table to the bar.
A friendly reminder is sufficient, not a boganish yell across the room.
