Once upon a time there lived a little old dairy farmer who was happily tending to his cows when there was a knock on his door - Please sell me your land, sir. I'd like to grow a vineyard. So the vineyard grower camped out the front of the farmer's house until the farmer gave in and sold him the land.
Kim Moginie and his wife, Francis McCormack planted the vineyard in 1983. They continued their journey, building the winery and eventually selling their wares through the cellar door. In 2016, young couple - Siobhan Maloy & Matt Toomey - along with Siobhan's parents - Maureen & Paul Maloy - bought the estate to continue the legacy that is the oldest vineyard and winery in the Southern Highlands.

Services
A beautiful fruit liqueur made from boysenberries sourced locally within the Southern Highlands. The colour and flavour of the fruit is extracted through special maceration, not complete fermentation thus retaining the intense character of fresh fruit. Matching: Dribble into your Champagne/Sparkling wines, drizzle over ice cream or crepes, soak berries or include in sauces and glazes.

We have been to Joadja Estate several times and always enjoy their wines. Yesterday, we made a booking for a group with 8 adults and 5 friends. We loved the wine and the kids had an amazing time playing together in the back garden. Really a fun, family experience. And, the owners are such lovely people and very accomodating. We brounght home some of the rose, dessert wines, and even more.
And, they are very covid-safe. Open doors, windows, outdoors, masks adhered to, check-ins. Lots of room to yourself and safety precautions. Really appreciated that.
There is even a Vietnamese food truck. It

Beautiful, laid-back cosy winery not far from Bowral/Berrima.
Felt a better fit for us than some of the other wineries we saw that seemed deliberately marketed towards affluent and insta types.
We were run through a tasting by the owner, Matthew - he knew his stuff, gave us appropriate space to talk between ourselves, but was also great company at the same time. Definitely plan to head back

Beautiful place with a calm atmosphere. I tasted both their sparkling chardonnay and Pinot noir. And they were amazing. The staff was friendly too.
But, I feel they can improve on some stuff, especially the food. When I have a glass of wine in a winery, I personally don't expect it to be accompanied by Vietnamese street food. Even though the food was tasty and good value for money, it's just not an great overall experience. I know they serve pizzas on long weekend Sunday's, but I'm sure lot of customers would love to have a slice of pizza with a glass of wine, on any fine day.

Wine is reasonable, we went on Sat long weekend, many people there for jazz band.
Staff are friendly, a little reluctant to serve our adult group of six, also didn’t sell the wine well did not know much about the wine. And they only had 2 reds. They lost as we went to another winery and spent about $500. Jazz band ok and winery has a good atmosphere hence the 2 star rating.
8 july, Just replying to the response i got from the owner.
I tried to speak to the owners, they were serving at the time, i came back 10 minutes later and they were with the same group. but waited another 10 minutes and

Joadja has the first vines planted in the southern highlands, so they have some mature vines to work with. The new owners are making approachable wines that will please most palates. If you're not a certified wine plonker, or you are, but you're looking for tasting that everyone will enjoy, this is the place to go.
