A render, also known as sand finish, is a mix of sand, cement and lime. Traditional sand render is very versatile and usually applied directly to rough surfaces such as brick, concrete or blockwork. This results in an even flat finish with a slight sand texture. A sand finish render can also be applied to existing painted surfaces provided the surfaces have been suitably treated first.
Acrylic texture is becoming the most popular in modern day building for its durability. The acrylic makes the render much sturdier, offering peace of mind that your new walls will stand the test of time. It provides water resistance and better flexibility than traditional rendering mixes, meaning it is much less likely to crack or stain after application.
In the simplest terms, float and set refers to two cement layers and plaster which generally finish internal walls of a house or building. If you're undertaking a new build, renovating or repairing and looking for a smooth and glossy finish, internal float and setting is a practical solution. This method of plastering provides a smooth, hardwearing, high quality surface to internal walls.

Shay, Came to my house to quote on rendering & texture coating the front of my house, on the day of the quote, he was on time on, the price was very competitive, Shay is very knowledgeable, in all aspects of his trade.
We had him and his colleague carry out the work, they were very punctual, clean & tidy, leaving us, with what looked like a brand new house.
