Being doctor Walt's patient for years, I have no doubt on his professional knowledge and skills....but how about that - came to the appointment at 9 am, waited for 45 min, doctor had a quick look at my tooth and x-ray I brought, decided to do the job next time (all together 5 min) and was charged for AUD100. For what? The lady on reception said - for doctor's advice. Who thinks it is fair?

I have been happy going to Nick for any work to be done ,very gentle and thoughtful as also is the dental nurse,some other places I have used over the years in different parts of Australia I end up getting a cold sore from rubbing the suction in the corner of my mouth ,here not a problem

Called this morning at 8:30, waited 5min, no answer. Hanged up called again, no answer. Went to the office, reception lady was talking to clients, ignored me. Waited for 3min listening how she talks about her personal life/kids. I left tried to call again got answering machine again. Very unprofessional to ignore customers while talking about your personal life and not work related matters. Very disappointing!

Nic is such a professional intelligent caring dentist, who informs you of all your options and how he will go about it. In my case, he spent and hour and three quarters patching up a botched job from a previous dentist. Liz and the other secretaries are welcoming, efficient and pleasant. The other young dental assistants go beyond making you feel welcome. Tis a pleasure to visit my new dentist.

Dr Nic is best dentist ever, gentle, kind, listens to you and offers advice. Doesn't just shove stuff in your mouth and go for it, always lets you know first what is going to happen and what to expect. If you are one of those people who have difficulties with mouth x-rays - they have a full head scanner thing which is as simple as standing there and letting it spin round your head for a moment.

After a lot of orthodontic work as a child I have had a fear of dentists for years. In recent years my teeth have taken a turn for the worse and desperately needed work done. Dr Nick Van Der Walt is the BEST dentist I have ever gone to in my life. He is gentle and caring. He continually asks if I am comfortable and if the numbing treatment is adequate. He worked out an affordable plan for me to overhaul my smile and with only 1 or 2 visits left I am extremely happy with the progress. I will continue to see him on a regular basis due to his manner. Thank you Dr Nick and all the lovely staff at Van

I moved to the area and tried a couple of Debtists prior to this one. It was like having a family friend who just happened to be a dentist. The respectful way in which my mother and I were treated.
The Doctor was not only caring, but realistic about treatment required and very sensitive to our limited finances against our requirements. It’s such a pleasant change to find a Dentist that genuinely cares about its patients and the industry and not just monetary motivated.
Looks like we’ve found an old fashioned dentist that the whole family will be going to. And he’s LGBI friendly too.
