The Parkwood Tavern is located around the corner from leading tertiary institution, Griffith University, on the corner of Olsen & Wintergreen Ave. This community favourite is less than 20 minutes from the Gold Coast, 10 minutes from the coastal suburb of Southport and is conveniently across the road from Gold Coast Hospital and the Light Rail Station.

Fairly long (35 min) wait for a Thursday lunch with only a hand full of others here.
Also thumbs down to the online ordering. Only 1 bar of service in the pub makes it difficult...However a really good feed.

Naturally couldn't resist the invitation to post a more favourable review after considering management earlier response. Dropped by for a pint and a quick bite to eat on Sunday. Food tasty, beers cheap, staff not rude and pumped music not terrible.
1 of the managers told me to never come back but thought I'd take the risk. ..3 stars and evening the score!!

We came on a quiet night. Just your run of the mill pub with ok food. Brocollini came more than 50% burnt, and fish was a little dry and came drenched in oil and lemon. Food can be improved overall.
