Really nice pies, rolls and treats from the chittaway bake house, however, after today’s experience with one of the rudest women serving behind the counter (not the first time) I’m sorry to say I won’t be returning.
I understand that customer service can be a demanding and often thankless job which has been exacerbated over the past 2 years with lockdowns etc. but it doesn’t excuse you to treat people/customers with the utter contempt that I was shown today.
Again, lovely food, but really need to lift the game with the incredibly disappointing customer service. In the meantime - I’ll

First off I want to say that all their food is fantastic, I've tried everything from the pies, sausage rolls, breads, coffee, and treats.
But some of the staff that work here are terrible at cusomter service (primarily the older ladies) who seem to treat you like you're an inconvenience for asking basic questions even when the store is quiet. It honestly makes me question if I want to ever go back.
I will say that the younger women and the men that work at the store all seem lovely.

Went in and got greeted with "What do you want?." The old lady with short red/brown hair has the rudest customer service ever. She's been like that for the past 10 years I have shopped in the area. I normally go to Lakedge Bakery to avoid her. I should have walked out on the spot.
They do have a good stroganoff pie though.

I was recommended Chittaway Bakehouse 12 months ago to supply products for my catering business and in this time Lisa and the team have delivered nothing but fantastic service and fresh quality products! Their deliveries are always on time and if anything extra is required, they ALWAYS come through! Also if you get a chance, you have to try their coffee! Its awesome!! It has been an absolute pleasure dealing with Lisa and the team and I have no hesitation in recommending them anyone! Keep up the awesome work guys!

This bakery has great products , but yes service can lack , but not the proprietors fault , it is a very busy bakery that can be busy at times with very minimal space they’ve made the best off.
Looking over the reviews I might of well had the staff member that seemed to manage well but made us feel uncomfortable (2 min interaction).
Hopefully that disgruntled staff member is now rectified.
I buy a few thing like cheese bacon sausage rolls & a couple of pies the same , ginger bread man or some cupcakes for the kids & some chicken salad rolls for the kids .
It’s a large order

I've only ever tried a couple of samples that this bakery has put out in addition to a reasonably regular purchase of their rock cakes. As far as rock cakes go their's are great but I'd like them to be bigger as they're more expensive than cakes from other local bakeries.
Everything I've tried from this bakery has been of good quality and very tasty. I've only ever had one of their coffees which were good but not as good as some others I've tried.
