Zentai Living was founded in 1981 in Sydney. A few years later the current owner relocated to beautiful Byron Bay on the North Coast of NSW. Our company's core product during the founding period were classic futons with 100% cotton filling. Thanks to years of experience and customer feedback we have constantly refined our production and developed new techniques to guarantee a lasting futon, which you can enjoy for many years.

This mattress is surpassing my wildest dreams. I have had several futons in the past, but this is a lighter, softer more wonderful sleep than ever. I am so well slept this morning, no aches and pains. My pillow even felt more comfortable for some reason.

I suggest taking the reviews on Zentai's website with a pinch of salt as the management chooses which ones to post.
I purchased a Tatami Bed and Futon and have generally been happy apart from the high maintenance required. If you are planning on purchasing a Tatami Bed and Futon be aware that you will need to air both several times a week if you don't like mold. I thought airing once a week would be sufficient but it clearly wasn't, as now I have mold between the tatami and futon. I'm currently treating the mold with clove oil which I hope will solve the problem.

These guys give friendly and personal service. Delivery from NSW to Melbourne happened in days and is very reasonably priced.
They called to double check the order before shipping both times we’ve ordered. They also went out of their way to source an item for me that was out of stock. Highly recommended.
We’ve bought great quality tatami mats from Zentai. They’re set up in a tearoom setting with a kotatsu and we’ve built a storage platform underneath. Now have the perfect office, spare bedroom, dining room, loungeroom combo - perfect for working from home.

We bought the all cotton futon with wool inlay. We were nervous because we hadn't tried the bed but we love it! Both my husband and I had bad backs but since getting the futon, we don't wake up sore anymore. Love sleeping on natural materials, we don't get super hot like we did with our old mattress. It is a bit heavy for a futon but it's only 20kg and I lifted it up the stairs to our apartment quiet easily. If you are looking for a quality mattress from a great Aussie company, definitely recommend Zentai!

An update to my review. I have since cut up my kind size mattress to go onto my daughters king single bed because I found it sagged really badly with the slat bed that I had. I did reach out to zentai living about it and they said it was the bed frame itself, even though I had the exact same bedframe with the queen mattress and it was perfectly fine.
Zentai has changed their quality since I purchased the Queen mattress. The queen was 1 solid piece of latex with 2 pieces being connected to make 1 mattress. The king mattresses are now 2 pieces not connected together. While it does make it easier

Bought a cotton Japanese futon off Zentai, messaged the guys on the live chat to get an ETA on delivery to see if I could organise a date. Super super helpful, thanks a lot for the awesome service. Got the futon definitely didn't expect the quality I got since the competitors to Zentai seem to be a little all over the place / pricey. Really happy with it, also thanks for including instructions to look after it.

I purchased a Queen size platform bed frame in American White Oak with posture slats and couldn’t be happier with the sturdy quality, craftsmanship and beautiful design.
I’m in Adelaide and made my purchase from their online store with help over the phone from a wonderful staff member.
Delivery was dispatched that day and it arrived from interstate promptly to my front door by courier.
