Situated on the corner of the Pyrenees and Midland highways along the Castlemaine to Maldon Road, the historic Fitzgerald's Brewery Bond Store has recently found a new lease of life. After years as the home of Redfearn's Stonemasons, the old Bond Store now houses one of the largest collections of antiques and collectables in Central Victoria.
The original Castlemaine Brewery was founded in 1857 by two Irish brothers, Nicholas and Edward Fitzgerald. Although the brewery moved to Brisbane in 1887, the thirst for heritage and quality was never lost to Castlemaine.

My trove of lovelies arrived safe and sound due to expert packaging design and it was easy to see they have gone over and above in all aspects of care even to the extent of cleaning oiling and wood protection treatment on an ancient clothes mangle/wringer that WAS going outside on the verandah but is now staying inside

We bought 3 cast iron urns from XXXX Antiques, and we were finally able to collect them today after getting held up by repeated covid lock downs. The team were very understanding about our delayed collection, and the customer service by all staff members is top notch. They are all very friendly and happy to help. The range they have available is fantastic and the prices are reasonable.

Good selection of vintage British motorcycles. BSA's, Triumph's & Enfields ect. Didn't mind paying the $10 bucks entry fee for the both of us, but the whole place had a very weird vibe. Prices were ridiculously high. Purchase on eBay for half the price. Had an uncomfortable feeling of being watched. May I suggest more strategically placed security cameras and less of the hovering. Owner doesn't understand neg feedback is constructive criticism not an attack, and needs to be more humble with his responses Drum roll...

A truly great shop. What a range of goodies. Purchased three items from photographs only. I was kindly allowed several weeks to pay by layby. On completion of payment items were promptly sent. Packaging was fantastic and cost of postage was very reasonable. Items in wonderful condition and true to photographs. I can highly recommend these lovely people to do business with as I will surely be buying more.

Mostly inflated prices on slightly interesting historical items. If you are into this stuff then I'm sure you are going anyway. More power to you - my father loved it. If you are not, then, I'd say the five bucks is worth it just for the colour overload. Staff were pleasant and engaged. The entry to is redeemable to contribute to an item. I didn't do this because I don't need a $50 thimble etc.
