Solid pub. Limited beer options but the selection is nonetheless good. Nice menu, although there was no chicken parmi, which I believe by law must be offered to maintain eligibility as a true pub. Dog friendly inside and outside which is a massive plus.

The chips were so good. Here's the empty plate. Was too hungry to stop and take a photo and the hand went from bowl to mouth too often and fast.. got a quick photo. Trust me. They are good. I'm a chip connoisseur.

Great place to drop in for a hangover lunch. Had the gnocci which was delicious. Laid back vibe and the occasional dog comes in with their owners. Beer was cold and fresh.

Pub food done really well! Came into the Union for lunch prior to the footy and once again I was impressed.. clearly they use quality ingredients which makes it a cut above most pubs.. The service is friendly, beer range solid and there's footy on the TV for junkies like me.. highly recommend!

We had a table of 10 people and everyone enjoyed there meal and they all came out at the same time which doesn’t always happen. I had the lamb rump which was really nice and cooked well just difficult to eat as it was swimming in gravy. And with the prices just be mindful most meals require a side so it does get expensive. Service was pleasant and the waitress did know the answers to all the questions she was asked.

I live nearby so its become a bit of a regular haunt. Whether stopping in for a midweek meal or enjoying a weekend session, i really can't fault it.
The food is outstanding! Think polished pub faves, like veal snitty, chicken pie, club sanger, and a few elegant delights like beef carpaccio, whole flounder (to die for), diamond clams in fennel broth, and just about any cut of steak your heart desires. There's also a great range of veggie options - chickpea and eggplant dishes are both faves.
You can eat casually in the public bar or if you want table service, head upstairs to the restaurant -
