When preparing your new lawn ensure the area is well drained and remove any existing weeds and vegetation. A good idea is to test your soil pH to make any corrections. You can do this by purchasing a Test Kit from your local nursery or hardware. If your soil is of a clay based Alkaline (pH 7.5 or higher ) adding some gypsum or sulfur will make improvements.
You can lay your lawn at any time of the year. A lawn put down In the warmer months will require more water and will take root quicker. In the cooler months, you will not need as much watering but it will take longer for the turf to establish itself. Turf is delivered on a Push-Off Pallet System with the aid of our tail-gate forklift.
New turf should be laid as soon as possible. Its important to thoroughly soak the turf and the soil underneath. This allows the roots below to hold into the moist dirt. The new lawn should be kept thoroughly soaked for the first couple of weeks until the turf has taken root in the soil. You can gently lift a corner of the turf to test if established.
