In 1968, Canadian born Marine Engineer Mr. Anthony Rock established General Engineers & Agents Pty Ltd (GEA), a small jobbing shop. From this humble beginning, Mr. Rock developed GEA into a capable steel fabricator within sugar, mining, state government and railways industries. In 1990, aligning his vision of the future Mr. Rock changed the company name to Townsville Engineering Industries Pty Ltd (TEi) and the TEi brand was born.
Richard discovered his passion for manufacturing as a young drawing office print boy in Tasmania. Over his career Richard has contributed to projects as diverse as Bass Strait drilling platforms to the Townsville Hospital Development in 1999.
A passionate advocate for regional communities, Richard loves to share his enthusiasm for manufacturing skills development as a regular contributor to industry panels with the goal to encourage further insight innovation, diversity and sustainability of the industry.Richard ardently believes the growth of his people assures the growth and sustainability of the TEi Services brand.

TEi Services, a privately owned engineering and steel fabrication company located in Townsville, North Queensland. As a business we draw on more than 50 years' experience in delivering customised innovative solutions to our national and international clients. Our management team has a combined 100 years' experience within mining, manufacturing, resources, renewables, sugar, and rail industries.
Our workshop draws on more than 50 years' experience in heavy plate and structural steel fabrication. We are globally recognised for delivering quality and reliability within mining, manufacturing, rail, renewables, sugar, construction and government infrastructure industries.
Our 5500m2 under roof workshop, equipped with overhead gantry cranes, CNC profile cutter and a diverse range of specialist equipment allows us to fabricate various large projects at one time.Over the years we have constructed a reputation within Government Infrastructure project delivery. TEi specialise in reservoir and steel tank manufacturing, bridge refurbishment and warehousing storage sheds.
