The volume of a slimline water tank is calculated by breaking the shape down into two halves of a cylinder separated by a rectangle. Then you can calculate volume of the Cylinder Shape and the Rectangle Shape.

The base of a gmTANKS water tank is manufactured using Bluescope double sided AQUAPLATE Steel and is designed to sit directly on a relevant pad without the need for a stand. The concrete should be in the 25MPa range as commonly used for driveways and footpaths and should contain F62 reinforcing mesh.

I found out about GM Tanks via google and their website. Despite the distance (Maitland to Canberra area) they were both the cheapest, and because they are manufacturers rather than agents, also the most flexible (we needed a non-standard tank size to replace an existing one). Michael delivered it himself, and due to his smarts and ingenious lifting gear, it was by far the easiest tank placement I've done (out of somewhere around 10 all up).
