My name is Emily Hanna, I am the principal photographer at esh photography and I have been a professional photographer in Canberra since 1999. I feel very fortunate to say, "I absolutely love what I do!" capturing precious memories and timeless images. Starting back in 1999 I have a whole career of professional portrait photography experience.
As I often say to many of my wedding clients, it is also a wonderful opportunity to do something quite different that is not achievable when we you are doing your wedding photography. May that be photographing at sunrise or sunset, a different season or at a totally different location? If you are getting married and have booked esh to look after your wedding photography for your special day then no excuses.
Weddings are huge, immensely personal and special regardless of how you choose to approach it. From large events to beautiful backyard ceremonies and intimate wedding celebrations, I have comprehensive experience with a delicate caring touch. So you need a top wedding photographer who understands what you want and is willing to work with you and your guidelines.
Over 20 years of working with and photographing people counts for a lot when it comes to smooth sailing, relaxed and fun approach to your Canberra family photography. I strongly believe that emotion and what you're feeling while having your family photography done is of paramount importance to how much you will truly love your photos.
She's a social person, she listens and have heaps of experience and creativity to bring to the session. I did a portfolio shoot with Emily and she made me feel so comfortable and confident in front of the camera. After meeting Em for the first time I felt I had known her for years and felt as though we were in great hands.

Emily is such a generous and warm person, but such a professional in her work. She responded rapidly to an urgent request for a single photograph and blew me away with the results.

I have known Em for 9 years now and she is an amazing photographer. She is calm, professional, caring and warm, and is always able to make you feel very relaxed (which is hard to do when most people really don't like having their photo taken!) She has photographed me and my family many times over the years, in lots of different situations, and we have always been so happy with the results. She has an amazing eye for detail but always makes the end result look natural. Couldn't recommend her highly enough.

Emily photographed our wedding this year, and she was completely delightful to work with. She gave us time where we needed it and was confident and professional throughout the whole experience. She gave us solid advice/guidance on what to prioritise on the day which we would probably have mucked up if we were left to our own devices.
On the day she was so excited and kind, it really was a pleasure to hang out with her during our shoot, a number of guests approached me afterwards and asked after her because they just liked her vibe so much.
