H & B Mining design and supply easy maintenance conveyor products to the Australian mining industry. H & B specialise in custom designing conveyor transfer upgrades and new conveyor transfer design incorporating their easy maintenance conveyor products. The latest design in the H & B Mining conveyor product range is the 'Easy Maintenance Retractable Idler' (EMRI).
Over 25 years of conveyor transfer innovation and design has culminated in this retractable conveyor idler set to revolutionise conveyor maintenance. The EMRI idler design provides a safe, simple and quick method of changing out ALL conveyor rollers, including the central roller, from outside of the conveyor manually.

Services
Established in 1993, H & B Mining aim is to provide a safer, easier to maintain and more efficient working environment at materials handling conveyor transfer points within the Australian mining industry. Whilst initially providing purely a design service for mines, shortly after its inception H & B Mining decided to expand its portfolio by developing a range of 'Easy Maintenance' mining conveyor products.
The EMRI idler design provides a safe, simple and quick method of changing out ALL conveyor rollers, including the central roller, from outside of the conveyor manually. The wing roller support frames can be released from their operational position and lowered down to a horizontal static position. Once the wing support frames have been lowered, the wing rollers can easily be removed.
The 'Easy Maintenance' drop down conveyor idler provides a quick, easy, safe and economical way to change out worn or damaged idler rollers on a mining conveyor. One person can change out rollers by removing a locking pin to release the roller support frame from its operational position.
A bottle jack or hydraulic cylinder is then used to lower the roller support frame away from the conveyor belt to create an opening between belt and rollers sufficient enough to allow access for removal or insertion of rollers without the need to lift the belt.

The H & B Mining DDR conveyor idlers are designed to facilitate & simplify the removal/replacement of worn or damaged idler rollers whilst the units remain in an "insitu" location under skirted or difficult access areas on conveyor systems.
The H & B Drop Down Retractable Conveyor Idler is designed for use on a conventional mining conveyor system arrangement of a single row of rollers and incorporates a retractable capability which improves access to the central idler roller, enabling easy maintenance of the conveyor. They are manufactured to facilitate site standard impact or carry idler rollers or any other nominated rollers used by the Australian mining industry.

The H & B Mining conveyor tilt idler is designed for use outside impact zones and allows easy access for maintenance to worn and damaged rollers without the need for cranes, lifting tackle or spanners. The tilt idler mechanism is also integral to the H & B Conveyor Diversion Plough design which creates a secondary circuit on any conveyor belt for removal of unwanted material.
