Trees, like all assets in developed areas, need to be managed and maintained. Intelligent decision making based on arboricultural knowledge and urban forestry principles results in healthy sustainable green spaces. New Leaf helps people to manage their trees in a cost-effective, sustainable way to optimise the health, vitality and beauty for the benefits they provide in our communities and the global environment we live in.
Decisions about trees can have safety and financial risks associated, so it's important to receive qualified expert advice. New Leaf Arboriculture is a professional level consultancy, with formal arboricultural qualifications, ongoing professional development, and maintains a high level of insurance coverage and risk management and safety training.
A tree assessment consultation will include arboricultural inspection of the tree or trees, discussion of the issues during which the arborist will listen to your concerns and explain any concepts or regulations relevant to the situation, and give preliminary advice about how to move forward.
The benefits of receiving tree advice from an AQF Level 5 qualified arborist include the ability to provide options and solutions considering the individual situation which go beyond "remove or prune" - as a result of having a broad understanding of tree health management, tree root architecture, structural properties, species characteristics and many other areas of Arboricultural science.

Report
Jacki provided an expert arborist's report for, and also appeared as an expert witness, at the hearing of a High Hedge dispute between two neighbours in the Shire.
The neighbour had planted a thick bamboo hedge which had grown to 8 metres high (the height of a large 2 storey house).
Jacki's report and evidence were invaluable, and the Commissioner of the Land and Environment Court made the orders sought which were to trim the bamboo hedge to 4 metres and keep it trimmed to restore the view over the bay.
