Welcome speech, wedding party entrance, time keeping, working with your other crew members to make sure everything runs smoothly, coordinating with the venue staff and kitchen, making relevant announcements throughout the night, directing the speeches, announcing the cake cutting, first dance, bouquet toss, garter toss and farewell.

Ricky has a special talent for reading the room and taking a wide variety of song requests. If you're looking for someone who lives and breathes music, Ricky is your guy. In fact, we were the only DJ service in our region to sign the largest local business petition for marriage equality before it was legalised.
Also, if you have created your own mix, for example, your first dance, please send the song file to us before your event. We would love to give you a discount but our rates are fixed. This allows us to consistently book the best djs and retain our high level of customer satisfaction. We receive multiple enquiries for the same date.
Newcastle is a harbour city in the Australian state of New South Wales. Its plentiful beaches are linked by the Bathers Way, a coastal walk stretching between Nobbys Beach and Merewether Beach. The walk provides access to Bogey Hole, a convict-built ocean bath from the colonial period. Also on the path is the 1880s Fort Scratchley, a historic site and a viewpoint for spotting migrating whales.

We booked Advantage DJs in early 2020, and despite a date change into 2022 Brendan kept the lines of communication open throughout the whole process. He was extremely flexible through the date change process and was always quick to respond. Our DJ on the day/night, Jomeca, was the perfect match for our style and vibe. She was so adept at reading the vibe of the room and playing the perfect bops to keep the dance floor hopping all night long. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Advantage DJs to anyone planning their special day.

We used Advantage for our wedding. We were extremely impressed and our expectations exceeded. They really got the party going and maintained that energy all night, I did not leave the dance floor! Brendan was amazing! Our first wedding was cancelled due to COVID-19 and we planned our second wedding with a 3 week turn around. Brendan went above and beyond to make sure he could be there on our special day. He helped to make our day very special and kept the dance floor pumping all night! We used Advantage DJ's for our wedding in June. We had postponed from the previous year, and Brendan was easy to deal with when we needed to change out date.
Jomeca was our DJ for the day/night and was brilliant from start to finish! She was quick to get in touch the week of the wedding and set up a time to chat. My aim for my wedding was to make it a great party that no one wants it to end and thanks to Advantage DJ’s that’s what happened. We hired these guys for the ceremony, the pre drinks and the reception and they did not fault once, hit every moment as per my request and had all guests up and dancing till the very end.
