Maric Flow Control Australia
Maric Flow Control valves maintain a fixed, pre-set, constant flow rate, regardless of pressure. A constant flow rate, even while demand for water, or upstream or downstream pressures are changing, can offer valuable protection for flow rate sensitive equipment and water distribution systems. Maric Flow Control is an Australian owned manufacturing engineering firm situated in Adelaide, South Australia.

Some types may also be pressure compensating i.e. maintain a constant flow, regardless of pressure. The Maric flow control valve is designed to deliver your required flow rate, irrespective of pressure differential*, over a wide range**. The minimum differential required to achieve rated flow for a Precision Maric valve is 140 kPa.
Maric Flow Control Valves are available in screwed type (BSP or NPT), wafer type for flange mount, and insert type for press fitting into OEM equipment. Screwed type valves offer benefits where space is limited - as the overall diameter of the valve is only marginally bigger than the pipe size. In certain confined space installations, a barrel union may be required to fit or remove the valve.
Maric Flow Control Valves are available in wafer types to suit a wide range of flange specifications i.e. Australian, American ANSI, British BS, and numerous other specifications. Wafer type valves are the obvious choice for larger size valves, however Maric do offer them in sizes down to DN 25. Wafer type are more easily removed in larger installations than threaded valves, because there's no need to rotate the pipes for disassembly.
Maric Insert type valves are the relatively small flow control valves intended for press or slip fitting inside other equipment e.g. These are the smallest possible housing, and are generally press fitted, and are not usually removable. Five body diameters are available which cover the full range of flow rates, up to 233 Litres per minute, and suit each of the five series (nominal size) of control rubbers manufactured by Maric Flow Control.
Maric Flow Control Valves are used in the mining industry for numerous applications including:. One of the more common application in the mining sector for Maric valves is that of gland water flow control, which is also referred to as Packing Water or Seal Water. Controlled flow to pump glands, conserves valuable packing water supplies - especially as mines often operate in arid areas.
