To mark Mick Hogg's retirement at 85 years young, we've had a short documentary video commissioned that includes both our business history as well as Mick's life. Project Lighting was founded by Mick Hogg in 1972. He took up a partnership with Building Electrical Supplies, which was soon renamed Project Lighting in premises in Altree Court, Phillip, ACT, Australia.

With the rapid development of Canberra in the 1970's, a new shop was opened in the new town of Belconnen in 1976. The premises were located in Nettlefold Street.
