Hit your shot before helping someone to look for a lost ball - most often they will find their ball while you play your shot. Hit your shot when safe to do so, especially if a player farther away faces a challenging shot and is taking time to assess their options. Assess your shot, including putts, while another player is preparing to execute or is executing their shot.
It is a requirement that all players carry a sand bucket and use the sand to repair divots. In repairing divots with sand, it is not sufficient simply to deposit a quantity of sand in the damaged area. It is preferable to cut in the divot with a club first, then deposit a small amount of sand evenly over the divot.
All lakes are to be treated as Penalty Areas and shall be defined by red/yellow stakes or lines. NOTE: The stakes are Immovable Obstructions. All concrete cart paths, the path in front of the 4th tee box complex and the path from the 16th green to the 17th men's tee are considered Immovable Obstructions.

The Terrey Hills golf course is an experience you want tick off if you can. Definitely two different nines with the front nine being more narrow with lots of trees and the back nine being more open. The greens are huge and everything is in immaculate condition. Played the NSW Amateur here so the course was in top condition. There are a many holes where you have to balance risk and reward. Some fairways roll off into water so you need to be a thinker. One of our group (off 3 handicap) putted into the water on 17, it can be that brutal. Club house and food is fantastic too.

Without a doubt Terrey Hills GC is the best course in Sydney and one of the top layouts in Australia. The signature 17 hole, par 4, Index 1 - is a postcard!
It is challenging course for any golfer, the greens are generous and have a good speed. I have played there over the years, on number of occasions it appears that management is in constant mode of course improvements, with very pleasing results to show for their efforts. And the big bonus is such a beautiful location, surrounded by bush - so you don't play your golf in the noise next to the airport freeway.
Very Highly recommended!!!
