This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response, life support, management of casualty, the incident and other first aiders, until the arrival of medical or other assistance and provide advance training in the use of adrenaline auto injectors for the treatment of anaphylaxis and the advance treatments associated with asthma.

Having a "tools down" order from the government in the July Lockdown gave us the prefect opportunity to brush up on our First aid skills.
Mitch @BeachesFirst Aid offered both online and COVID controlled face to face training, we chose the face to face as we felt the message would be more easily learnt in this way. The training was delivered professionally, was super informative and our entire group thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Five Stars for Beaches First Aid!!

Mitch delivered a great first aid course for us as new parents. Comfortable, laid back setting with questions encouraged throughout and time given throughout to explain and demonstrate further.

Mitch was very engaging, friendly and made first aid fun! Great course, money well spent and learnt so much in a short amount of time. As a parent we feel more relaxed and prepared if the worst should happen. Everyone should have these basic skills as you never want to be in the position and not know how to help.

The course was very well organised and extremely accommodating. The fact that I could do the theory portion online at home at my own pace watching very easy-to-understand videos was great. By the time I finished the online course I aced the online assessment at the end. This took me 2.5hrs because i kept having breaks.
I then followed up with the practical portion of the course, which only consumed 40 minutes of my time given that I had already done the theory at home. The great thing was it is available 6 days a week so there was no waiting time either.

After doing numerous first aid courses over the years, this course run by Mitchell was head and shoulders above any other I have been to. The online course was easy to understand, yet thorough in its information. The practical side was made comfortable by Mitchell. He has a great way of teaching and getting the essential messages across in how to apply first aid and if required save a life. Such a great experience in doing something that for my profession is a requirement. I left the course with the knowledge and confidence that I am equipped and prepared to apply first aid if required.
