Daystars Early Learning Childcare Centre, Daystars Bardwell Valley, Daystars Killara trading under Killara Childcare Center Pty Ltd which is a privately owned and managed centre. Therefore, parents are not required to participate in any aspect of administration.
However we do have an open door policy for parents and other authorised family members and welcome consultation, advice and sharing of expertise offered by parents in the areas of programming, policy and procedures, evaluation and relevant practices in all aspects of the operation of this family day care.I appreciate that both of my kids could stay at killara childcare in past two years.

Services
Our service is committed to the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). Observations of all children enrolled in our service will be documented and kept for future reference and reflection, through use of portfolios. Children's portfolios will be available for a child's family members to look at but remains the property of the Service for the duration of the child's enrolment.

Daystars go above and beyond to ensure the children learn and play safely. From arranging amazing Christmas party's, fun events and activities to spending quality time understanding our children's individual needs, skills and development opportunities. This daycare centre is the best centre in every way. We had seen many daycares in the local area and Daystars Bardwell Valley was by far the best! The teachers and director are the most welcoming and warm team. They are very knowledgeable and have helped my children in every aspect. Best choice I made for my children's education.

Impressed by the facility and resources available. It definitely has the WOW factor! The only thing that competes with that, is the exceptional service my kids have received, they simply don't want to go back home with us when we pick them up. The staff are great and very helpful. Thumbs up Daystars Bardwell Valley for taking well care of our kids and the high quality learning program you have!

I would not recommend it anyway.
The centre manager Fiona called me after 7 days later that i have submitted my enrolment. And she told me that they require immunisation report from Medicare.
But I don’t have Medicare card at all /under 572 visa/ so called to AIR they would send it to us in a week later.
On our orientation day I explained about it to Fiona but she doesn’t want to listen, even I brought proof of immunisation bluebook with me. She was very rude and impatient.
I was feeling racially discriminated. I would never back to there and never recommend at all.

I am the Preschool Lead Educator at the centre. At Daystars Bardwell Valley we see ourselves as an extension of your family, embracing your cultural heritage. The literacy and numeracy school readiness is implemented from the very beginning of the year.We have an open door policy and parents are always welcome to pop in and share their talents with us. We have established close connections with the local primary school.
