28 years at Tyabb. Send us photos, along with your contact details. Some of our dealers are "old school" and like to call you to ask about items, so please include a phone number you can be contacted on. Our dealers have a changing range of stock. One or two of our dealers do keep a database of their stock, however most dealers operate a very analogue business meaning they will have to look through their stock to see if they have something.
A tantalus, or tantalus cabinet refers to something that holds two or three decanters (occasionally more). The defining feature of a tantalus over other items that hold decanters is that a tantalus has a lock and key. The tantalus was patented in 1881, and sources do state that it was to prevent the pilfering of the spirits within, either by servants or guests to the household.

Can find just about anything old or new. Also two coffee and meal facilities, one in an old railway couch. A good pottery and jewelry on site as well. Both I can recommend. Of you are into comic, Star Wars or Marvel items, then this is the place to pickup small and life size items.

We had not been there for a long time. It started pouring just after , could not leave stall we were in but everyone was in the same boat, could have used one, but all laughing and talking. Felt sorry for a lot of stalls as they were flooded. But staff were great can not wit to go back again. Loved the place.💜💜

This is the first of many interesting shops forming a village of sorts in the surprise packet that is Tyabb. Give yourself plenty of time to rummage as the choices are plentiful - antiques, books and collectibles.
There's cafes and eateries as well.
A fascinating place.

I am disgusted by my experience today.
I grew up in Tyabb and have been to the Antique Packing house many times in my life.
Today when visiting, my partner and I despite having medical exceptions for not wearing a mask, were kicked out by a very arrogant old lady working there who said she wasn’t questioning our exemption but that it was privately owned and she wanted us out if we didn’t wear one.
This is not only blatant discrimination but also illegal and not in line with the Victorian Coronavirus mandates around masks and mask exemptions.
We are both double vaxed and have vax certificates

Indepth literature collection, which covers every topic under the sun. Lots to see. If you like looking at abstract stuff that you might want to purchase, such as theme park sculptures, ceramic doorknobs, antique child rockers, vintage snuffboxes, this is the place for you.

Fascinating, this place is both a massive range of beautiful antiques and equally a museum. My favourite shop here is #18 the Art Deco heaven.

Been here a few times over the years and it never disappoints. With a cornucopia of vintage items to look at see you will be wondering why you didn't put aside more time for this activity. The main building alone will occupy at least an hour of your time if you're just browsing in a cursory fashion. Take time to explore the smaller shops which are at the back for different types of items like garden pieces and tools. Photos provided will give you a sense of what to expect.
