Services
We know you're busy and we know you want to help the environment by refusing and reducing food packaging, sourcing reusables, and preventing food waste by only buying what you need. Your goods will be packed in paper bags, or clean jars. You can choose to be part of the jar return system where you get full credit for any of our branded jars you return in good nick, which can be used for dry or liquid goods.
Wasteless Pantry was originally set up in the beautiful Perth Hills in Mundaring, just 15 minutes from Midland; however, new locations are being opened all around the Western Australian metro area. The store retails bulk groceries and whole foods, dry and liquid. This includes coffee beans, loose tea, nuts, baking goods, gluten free, organic foods, personal hygiene and cleaning basics.
General enquiries including consulting or booking Wasteless Pantry to speak at your next event should be sent to the following address. Would you like to become part of the Wasteless Pantry network of sustainable zero waste stores? We are always interested to hear from people who are on a waste free journey and keen to share the tools to doing this with their local community.

Basically, I am a country girl who has learned to live in the city! I grew up in the 70's and 80's spending a lot of time on my grandparents' 3,000-acre wheat and sheep farm in the West Australian wheatbelt. My Gran, Rita, was a 'zero waster' long before there even was such a term. On the farm, there was not a lot of money and certainly no waste collection service!

I love Wasteless Pantry. They have a great range of dry goods - it's a very rare thing that I can't find something I need. They are always helpful and friendly and frequently recognise me by name. I feel like part of my community shopping here. Its also great to have a resource to cut down on my personal plastic use.

Have been coming here for a while now and am adding more and more things to my list each time. It's great to get home and think I didn't have to throw a plastic packet from pasta in the bin which I'd usually buy each week, bottles of handwash or bags from flour, to name a few. And it's easy to buy a little bit of something if that's all you need. Such a great concept.

I've been shopping here weekly since they opened. The store is always super clean and tidy, the staff are all fantastic and they have a great range of dried products, herbs and spices, local coffee, and cleaning products. Not only do you save of packaging, but they also take care to check things like palm oil content etc in their product lines to ensure you're getting the best possible. Their prices might not be the cheapest, but they're not over the top, and the best thing is you can buy exactly what you need and no more, so minimising food wastage. It's also a good place to look for hard to find

Just wanted to give a huge thank you to the staff at WP Greenwood today (one in particular who will know who she is!) for going out of their way to help me with my purchases today. This sudden lockdown has… presented me with some issues I didn’t know I had and this staff member went out of her way to help me and see that I had all my containers filled easily ◡̈ from the bottom of my heart, thank you!

Tldr/summary at the end
I regularly come here for groceries. Great variety of common as well as hard to find items and at a great price too.
The employees are very helpful and if you leave them with a list they will measure and store your food for you while you shop elsewhere.
The store also has a variety of recycling boxes for things such as plastic bottle caps and can tabs, as well as a jar donation box.
You don't even need to bring your own jars to shop as there is a large basket at the front of the store that holds a variety of different jars that have been previously donated.

This has been my favourite place to shop since the doors opened. It is always clean, organised, and the staff are super friendly. I usually save so much money shopping this way that I'm irritated by how much the chain stores charge. Local Business is everyone's business. Also the environment thanks you!
Note: Their online delivery is top notch.

Thank you for your regular news letter and on you TV appearance, its good to know your reputation is spreading. I hope you keep yourself well and truly grounded in Mundaring when you eventually open other stores which is inevitable given the public interest in your philosophy. My very best wish to you.

What a gem. They had a genuine and friendly approach to the customer, a huge variety of bulk groceries (including maple syrup!), very clean storefront, and even some toys to keep my boys amused whilst I filled my containers. It was a very pleasant shopping experience, and cheaper than I expected. I wish every suburb had one of these!
