Jamie Caldwell founded Responder1 in 2011. Before Responder1 Jamie's small business was called Lifeguard & Medical Training. Conducting business out of his home office part time, Jamie built up a small number of specialised clients. Most of these clients came via word of mouth as Jamie was not conducting any advertising.

The Unique Student Identifier (USI) scheme, enabled by the Student Identifiers Act 2014, allows learners to access a single online record (transcript) of their VET achievements. The scheme also allows for reliable confirmation of these achievements by employers and other RTOs. A USI gives you access to your online USI account, which is made up of ten numbers and letters.
