Waikerie enjoys the best of both worlds, being less than 2 hours from Adelaide (175km) and also in the Riverland. It is the first Riverland town, on the Sturt Highway (Adelaide to Sydney) and has a population of about 5,000. Being in the Riverland, it boasts vineyard and citrus industries, dry land farming and recreational and tourist facilities.

Beware if you're a female. Some doctors are good (but always booked out because they are so popular), some are very rude, have no respect of privacy, speak very bad English (one of the doctors asked me what the "thing inside your ear" is called!!). If you are a woman DO NOT see any of the older male doctors. Had an awful experience a couple of times.

I called to book an appointment this morning and i was hung up on so I called again and got transferred to the nurse who was incredibly rude and grump. My throat is swollen so it was rather difficult to speak and all I got was her yelling into the phone and speaking to me as if I was stupid. This is really upsetting my family have been going there for years and we have never had a problem the front desk lady's have always been so kind and polite and helpful. I had more questions to ask the nurse and I was half way through my sentence and she hung up on me. I understand everyone has bad days but

I am currently travelling through SA in a motorhome, and after a very bad night with severe gastric pains, I contacted the clinic, who had an appointment free at 10.15am the same day. I had blood taken, and given medication that has helped so much. Had a follow up appointment today, and again was so impressed with the doctor I saw, and also the friendly, professional approach of the reception staff. I would highly recommend this clinic. Thank you for your prompt and thorough care

Very bad. Receptionists were not polite, doctors were even worse. My sickness got worse because of their inappropriate treatment. Now I am in Sydney and have been received proper treatment. Needless to say, I am getting better. If you have a choice you should go somewhere else. I do not recommend this place at all.
