Hamilton Vetcare
Hamilton Vetcare, established in 2010, has rapidly expanded to become an award winning veterinary practice in Hamilton, Victoria. Located at 97 French Street, our new vet clinic offers an array of veterinary services, including vaccinations, desexings, microchipping and surgery, as well as puppy preschool and kitten adoption.

Our spacious new clinic includes a dedicated cat consulting room, reducing stress for our feline patients, and a Quiet room with a separate entrance allowing for complete privacy when the situation requires. We strive to offer Hamilton the best in veterinary pet care, and to build on our reputation for excellence in customer service and veterinary medicine.
Services
We offer a welcoming, caring and dedicated environment for patients and their owners. Hamilton Vetcare strives for best practice veterinary care, and has a new, fully equipped surgery and hospital, with multiparameter anesthetic monitoring, surgical electrocautery, veterinary dentistry unit, digital radiology and separate dog and cat wards & consulting rooms.
There are unique difficulties in bringing a cat to a veterinary clinic. Cats often feel unsafe and scared away from their home and do not travel well. They are often highly sensitive to new sights, sounds and smells. Most cats prefer quiet and solitude and are very susceptible to stress, particularly when in close proximity to dogs or dog smells and odours.
Probably the most common problem that affects dogs' mouths is gum disease. Starting silently with no obvious signs or symptoms, it advances quickly, causing chronic pain, eroded gums, missing teeth, even bone loss - a fate hardly fair to your four-legged friend. In fact gum disease is so common, studies show over 80% of dogs suffer a stage of gum disease before they are three years old.
We offer a wide range of surgical procedures. Surgery to repair fractured bones and repair damaged ligaments and tendons are commonly performed at Hamilton Vetcare. Due to illness, disease or trauma, your pet may one day require surgery.

While potentially stressful (for both you and your pet) there are a few basic guidelines that you can follow that will make the process as complication-free as possible and put your pet on the fast road to recovery.Depending on the type of surgery, whether minor or major, your veterinarian will advise you when your pet can resume his normal lifestyle.
For every person that is born, 15 dogs and 45 cats are born. Pet overpopulation is a big problem. As these statistics show, in order to help keep up with the current flood of puppies and kittens, every person would have to own two dogs and six cats at all times. A household of five would have to harbor 10 dogs and 30 cats! Adoption alone is obviously not the answer.

Couldn’t recommend The team at Hamilton vet care more. I had constant contact with the team over the last 9 months regarding my very senior dog. She was unwell but the care and love I received from them through out the last 9 months was anything short of kind and caring from the very first visit until the very last. Dr Anita was there for my final moments with my beautiful Milly girl and she made the experience that much easier with her gentle kind approach. Thank you so much team ❤️

Absolutely wonderful professional practice who have proven their worth with bringing one of my fur babies back from the brink and maintaining the health of my other fur child. The were always happy to update me on my pets progress to enable me to make decisions. Could not hope for more in the care of my pets.

The visit to this Vet was disappointing as the trainee vet did not want to do a follow up on my kitten who sprained his leg after a fall, and could not tell by feeling his leg if it was broken and after several xrays, Ihe was sent home with just pain relief for the next week. With little to no advice on after care. If you take a pet here ask to see the senior Vets and be ready to pay expensive bill for consult. There are no governing body for Vets and they can freely charge whatever they want. Be aware.

I love bringing my pets to Hamilton Vetcare. They are a very professional and kind clinic. We have been coming to Vetcare ever since Scott and Lauren started their business. They have been there for our animals offering great advice and have also been there for us in the middle of some pretty hard times, like having to say good bye to a fur family member or delivering kittens by C section! The team at Vetcare are an amazing bunch of people and I wouldn’t hesitate to tell you they are the best!

All the Staff are courteous, caring and service is "friendly with a smile" . Pocahontas and Peekys (Pikachu) have gotten to know Dr Amy as we have seen her on regular basis last couple of months when we travel to Hamilton. They both know that she does her best to make them well again. "Thank-you"

While on holiday out of state my dog (Chase) was hit by a car and rushed by my Dad to Hamilton Vetcare. I was called by my mum as soon as I landed in Sydney to let me know what had happened. ( I will never know the full story as it was quite upsetting) Immediately I rang the Vet and Dr Scott was very good at explaining what was going on. Abdominal hemorrhaging, bleeding from 1 ear and the most alarming was that his pupils were not responding to light. Dr Scott was amazing. He told me Chase was heavily sedated, was on heavy painkillers and they were monitoring him very closely. The whole team were

We adopted the most beautiful cat from this vet clinic. The cat had prior been left alone with its two kittens on the door step of the clinic and so they decided they would take them in. I can't thank Hamilton Vetcare enough for their compassion and care to their patients which lead to me adopting a lovely young cat.
