Booked a powered site for a night and said we would arrive late. Paid the fee, was told there would be an envelope for us with map and instructions on the Late Arrivals board. Arrived at 1am after driving all day and no envelope on the board. Called the after hours number twice, let a voicemail. Had to sleep at a free camp un powered. The… following day I phoned many times and no answer. Left messages etc and got no call back. Still days later no call back therefore no money back. They kept our $45. Extremely disappointing and won’t be using this place again.

On arrival just after hours, found key and directions to cabin very easily. On entry to cabin found only screen door would lock, cabin a little dirty, particularly the bathroom and no running water. Also only one air conditioner for a two bedroom cabin meaning bedrooms had no air conditioning. Manager or owner racing around in a buggy, when we asked about the water he said it would be fixed in ten minutes, unfortunately it took a little longer. On all this we decided to move on to another accommodation place for a lovely cool room for the night in Longreach. Very disappointing!

We stayed at this park three years ago and stayed there again three weeks ago, nothing much has improved dust wise. We had an ensuite site with slab which was fantastic. We did use the dump point and it was well designed and so easy to use.
The issue with this park is the dust, there are no sealed or designated roads and campsites are dust bowls that would turn to mud with rain. (We had no rain thankfully)
With the boom in tourism and the amount of income pouring in to this massive site there is no reason for bitumen or other dust reduction improvements to be gradually installed. Dust levels

Stayed 3 nights. What a sad, bad, experience!
Not much more than an unmaintained, dusty, big red dirt, paddock.
3 out of 4 washing machines out of order. Sole, old working Maytag, was a dirty looking machine.
No power second night, for our neighbours or ourselves. Wouldn’t bring an electrician as we were told it would cost them money and it’s “normally the camper’s fault”. 5 degrees in our van wasn’t fun!
Fixed next day from a main power pole that had malfunctioned. Not the powered site we paid for!
Drain blocked and overflowing beside van, creating mud everywhere.
