Julies Boarding Kennels and Cattery was established in 1988 and is conveniently located within Perth's northern suburbs in Malaga, just 15mins from Perth Airport. We specialise in both dog boarding and cat boarding, handling all your pets needs including special diets, medication and exercise. Our staff are dedicated to delivering the highest quality of individual love and care, giving you piece of mind that your fur babies are in the best hands while you enjoy your holiday.
Services
We'd like to introduce ourselves to you as Julies Boarding Kennels and Cattery Management Team. My name is Julie Kimberley and I established Julie's Boarding Kennels and Cattery in 1988. After some sad experiences boarding my own animals, I began to believe that facilities and level of care for animals in boarding needed to be improved.
For urgent bookings appointments to view over school holidays may be available but otherwise we like to be able to focus on the care of all the extra pets in boarding during school holiday times. However - as there is no charge for departures prior to 10 am, it's always busy first thing! So, if you are able, the best time to drop off your pet is between 10am and 12noon.
Every day begins early at our kennels. Morning rounds are performed where we check on each pet giving them attention, treats and any medication they require. Each kennel block is cleaned and disinfected and each dog is given fresh water. Bedding is attended to and laundered as necessary. Breakfast is then served as directed or required, as some pooches use much more energy in kennels than they do at home and may need an additional meal.
The life of a cat is a glorious one. Here at Julies Boarding Kennels and Cattery, our dedicated Cattery Team are committed to ensuring that your feline companion will feel right at home. From the timid and shy to the playful and cheeky, we individually tailor our care for each cat to ensure they have the best time with us.
Waiting for business opening hours is a delay most people can't afford. Now imagine that you're at home in the evening after a long day's work, sitting, relaxing, planning your holiday for ALL your family. We had our cat there while we were away on holidays. They took fantastic care of Jack, even to the point of going out & buying the brand of cat food that our cat preferred in an effort to get him to eat more! They tried everything apparently before ringing me. And they also managed to make friends with our very skiddish cat as well. Lovely people, great customer service, easy to deal with. Will be leaving our pets there again next time we go away.

I only have amazing things to say about Julie’s Kennels. Outside of their boarding they also have adoption services. My parents adopted their previous dog a decade ago, and after he passed they adopted again just last week. The staff clearly care a lot about their animals and matched my parents twice now with the perfect dog for them.
The staff are super helpful, non judgemental (both my parents have fairly limited English) and attentive. I cannot recommend their adoption services enough - also much more reasonably priced than other shelters.

We left our 2 year old Rottweiler Oscar for about two weeks. He was calm and freshly washed. Lexie was able to give us a personal report as she spent time with him daily. Shannon was professional and friendly as she guided us through the process, it was our first time leaving Oscar, but will be confident to leave him there again if needed. Thanks Team.

Highly recommended, used by ourselves and other family. Our (various) fur-babies have been staying at Julie's for more than 10yrs now; they have looked after a couple of dogs, a couple of cats and a rabbit over-the-years. The staff are very helpful, and have accommodated delayed (or brought-forward) pick-up dates a number of times for us as our travel plans have been affected by volcanoes, lock-downs etc. Julie's have always provided great care of our pets - they always come-home looking well-fed and happy.

They guys and girls at Julies Boarding kennel are amazing both my dogs love coming here and I know they are in amazing hands😊 I'm FIFO and I'd be lost if I hadn't found this amazing kennel both my girls are so well looked after and they cater to ever need even taking my roster and night shift schedules into account to email me about any concerns if I'm on shift. Both my big dogs get so very excited every time I drop them off and are so very loved by them all.

I love these guys. They are easy to book and they really love the animals they look after. One of my cats is very outgoing and always has a great time in the cattery. My younger cat visited the cattery for the first time last week and while he was stressed the staff made sure he had pats and attention and kept encouraging him by the end of the week he was doing much better so i am told. I have brought my cats home and they are settling back in just fine. Thankyou Julie's kennels and cattery!

I was so scared to leave my Krystal , but when i picked her up i could see how well she was cared for. She looked great, was happy and well adjusted. She came home with a beautiful groom, her fur so soft and clean. I am so thankful to the staff who cared and looked after my girl.
