Shoalcoast Community Legal Centre is a not-for-profit community legal centre in the following local government areas - Shoalhaven, Eurobodalla, Bega Valley, Queanbeyan/Palerang and Snowy Monaro. Our mission is to provide an accessible professional legal service, responsive to the needs of the most disadvantaged and which promotes just and lasting solutions to legal and social issues in our community.

Shoalcoast hosts Community Legal Education events throughout the year on a wide variety of popular topics. The CLSD Program works collaboratively to address unmet legal needs by working together to make better referrals and devising new services to meet the needs of priority clients.

There will be other legal paths for you, and we can provide a referral, or information to you. Our solicitors are able to help you. Telephone advice is a great option for quick and easy advice. We understand that telephone advice isn't always the best option though, sometimes documents need to be signed, or you may need to speak to someone face to face due to personal reasons.
Shoalcoast is always looking for ways to create opportunities, engage with the community and make change. Throughout the year, Shoalcoast coordinates a series of projects for the community. Cooperative Legal Service Delivery Program (CLSD) addresses unmet legal need in our area and aims to achieve better outcomes for vulnerable and disadvantaged people through the collaboration of legal and non-legal services.

Shoalcoast Community Legal Centre works to positively change laws and policies for the benefit of our clients. Shoalcoast examines existing laws and policies and find where they disadvantage our clients. We then advocate for systemic change. We regularly make submissions to parliamentary inquiries on various issues to ensure the voices of our clients in remote and regional areas are heard by the law makers in Federal and State Government.
Reparations are a payment from the government to recognise the hurt caused when you were forcibly removed from your natural family and community. 1800 RESPECT is a confidential telephone advice service available experiencing, sexual assault, domestic or family violence, their friends and families and people working with affected people.
