Our work ranges from the finest contemporary pieces, to reproduction of traditional period furniture. Our work is made on consignment either using our own designs or to your design.

Services
Since 1982 Francis Furniture has been making and designing handcrafted solid timber Furniture that stands the test of time. Our solid timber furniture is environmentally friendly and wholly Australian made in our Port Macquarie factory by our skilled tradesmen. Choose from our collection of innovative standard designs, or use our comprehensive custom design service or we will build to your specifications and designs.
Our Chests all feature sliding dovetail construction for superior carcase strength, with dovetailed drawers on traditional frames or super smooth soft close runners as well. All our chests are handmade by our own craftsman in select grade Australian hardwood of your choice. We can also source a wide range of imported timbers.
For the past thirty years Francis Furniture has specialised in tables that are hand crafted from Select Australian hardwoods. We have made our tables from a wide variety of Australian species and also use recycled species as available. Our tables are heavy, have thick tops, and they come in a range of designs from the traditional to the contemporary.
Entertainment Units form a large part of our work. With our innovative designs and our ability to design the cabinet around your components and make it blend in with your existing furniture if needed. Most Entertainment Units that we make today are of the lowline variety, mainly due to the uptake of larger Plasma and LCD Televisions that are now the norm.

Do not put hot or abrasive things directly on the furniture (always use a good quality place mat or equivalent). 7. Never use polishes or oils that contain silicon as they may damage or discolour the surface finish and make repairs far more costly.

Beautiful, hand-crafted furniture made by people who are proud of their work. Kim and his staff braved bushfires to deliver my furniture to me yesterday. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Kim was helpful and willingly gave advice and suggestions on furniture care. Francis furniture is a professionally-run organisation which produces top quality pieces.

We are more than happy with the extension table, 6 chairs, coffee table, 2 lamp tables and entertainment unit, custom made for us by Francis Furniture in Tasmanian blackwood timber, in a colonial style. It blends in perfectly with the antique furniture we have in our 112 year old house.
