Unfortunately I’ve had my furniture removed ( third party) by this lot. A bedframe that cost over $1200, slept on for a week. Received it with extensive damage and had literal chunks taken out of it. No communication with John Ryan Removals from the beginning of them moving my furniture. A condition report, I didn’t even know existed until 3 weeks after I put in my insurance claim have been able to keep me from claiming insurance on damage caused not by myself. I have unfortunately been in a dispute with insurance since April trying to get these over turned as the furniture was in brand new

Used John Ryan Removals for my recent house move in Melbourne. Found them good to deal with. Had a consultant call at house and check all the items to be moved before a quote given. As a result nice big truck of the right size and four staff turned up on the day and were very efficient. Nothing broken or damaged.

Our experience moving to New Zealand with the help (or lack thereof) of John Ryan Removals has been terrible. Initially, they were quick and professional through the quoting and booking and packing process. I was impressed. However when it came to shipping the container (and they had received payment in full) everything ground to a halt. Terrible communication (no response to emails, never once were available to talk to me when I would call (multiple times a day) and have never called back).
Moving to a new country is stressful enough, but dealing with this has made it even more stressful.

Not Good at all.. we moved interstate during COVID, the guys who packed the truck were amazing. However my car did not arrive till a week late and my camper trailer was 2 1/2 weeks late. Not only that a box with some valuable thing in it is missing. I have filled out all the paperwork but now I’m not getting any response from staff.. For the ridiculous amount of money we spent, I did expect a better service.

They moved us from a 5th floor flat with a small lift and a fair way to go to the road with great efficiency, doing the complete job of clearing the flat in just over 1 hour. We were moving to the country and the move in to our new place was just as efficient, just over the hour. Nothing was scratched or broken, all was just fine. Personnel at both ends (the move was done in two stages) very obliging, cheerful and polite.

Moving is never easy but we were wrapped with our choice of John Ryan removals from the quotation stage through to completion of our move. Our sales rep Keith was at all times polite, courteous and kept us well informed of the timetable and process. Our uplift team led by truck driver Andy and Steve and Jim did a great job loading and we could see the thought and effort involved throughout the process to ensure the safety of our goods in transit. We originally wanted Chess removals, but they no longer work out of Melbourne. They team up with John Ryan removals. We booked them from Melbourne to Adelaide, but had to put the move on ice because of the border closures. Eventually went ahead with the removal. They were so patient with us. They were great. Professional and so friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend them, and would definitely use them again.

John Ryan Removalists are true professionals! Brilliant service from the first contact to the completion of our move. Thanks to the great communication we exactly knew what to expect on the day. We had a lot of quite heavy furniture and a number of large pot plants. The four guys who were quite coordinated loaded two trucks with our stuff applying great care. We were moving to a two storey house on a hot day... with no air-conditioning working . Our removalists manoeuvred heavy pieces of furniture up the stairs with great skill and quite happily returning some pieces back downstairs when we asked

John Ryan was recommended to me by a company in Canberra my family had previously used. JR was efficient, took care with my furniture and it arrived to Canberra in a very timely manner. Their quote was very competitive and they were the first removal company I’ve used that arrived on time. Would recommend JR and their office is very responsive to any questions.
