Services
Leapfrog Therapy was established 2007 by Amanda MacLean, Paediatric Occupational Therapist. 14 years on we are now well known for our practical approach to therapy, and our strong belief in working closely with parents and teachers to achieve common goals. In addition to our community visits, our Melbourne Clinic opened up in North Balwyn in 2019.
At Leapfrog we offer a range of different services to support children and their families. Some of these are working directly with the child, and some are working with parents/teachers using a coach approach. We are able to conduct a range of standardised and non-standardised assessments for children aged 0-16 years.
Well I guess this is true. Children have very important jobs- to play, make friends, be successful at home tasks such as dressing and feeding, and probably most importantly, to reach their social and academic potential. Occupational Therapy helps children experiencing difficulties in any of these areas.
Leapfrog Therapy provides online (telehealth) therapy sessions for children and their parents. The power of technology is amazing, and we now have the opportunity to "visit" your child at home or school for their assessment/ therapy with the use of video conferencing and online assessment resources.
YOU are an expert about your child. Parent coaching acknowledges this. It involves working directly with parents to problem solve individual challenges and provide unique strategies to trial and feedback. It is a collaborative process that can have great results.
Parent coaching for children with Autism and other developmental disabilities is an evidence based approach, with the bonus that it can be done at a time convenient between you and the therapist, online or in person.

We had an extremely disappointing experience with Betty at Leapfrog. My wife and I have been left disgusted by this practice and have been made to feel as though our son is nothing more than an ATM machine that dispenses free cash.
During the initial consultation, we had discussed our sons needs and had mutually agreed on a treatment plan. We had discussed that we would be in touch and continue with sessions once NDIS funding is approved. Betty had insisted to work with our son in an environment that he was most comfortable in. Therefore, we made arrangements for her to attend his daycare center

We engaged with Leapfrog Therapy two months ago to attend to the varied needs of our 7 year old daughter. It goes without saying that we owe a lot of gratitude to the team at Leapfrog who have been able to help in ways we thought were not possible.
The patience shown by our daughters therapist and methods of learning and engagement have enabled our daughter to come along in such a short period. We will continue to use the services of Leapfrog as it has literally been life changing not only to our daughter but to our family as a whole.
