Joe Vella Insurance Brokers (JVIB) was established in Cairns in 1996. From relatively humble beginnings JVIB has grown from strength to strength and now employs 28 staff across three offices. Our ever growing client base currently consists of approximately 5,000 individuals, partnerships and companies.

Welcome to "Vella Plaza", originally "The Plaza Movie Theatre", located at 108 Mulgrave Road, Cairns, Queensland. It was designed to seat 600 patrons and was built by the "QLD Building and Construction Co". The opening address was a gala affair jointly presented by his worship the Mayor, Alderman Collins, and the Manager of Northern Theatre Pty Ltd, Mr J.S. Morris.

Our favourite insurance brokerage! We've used JVIB since forever for insuring our events, offices, homes - they didn't just beat our former broker in price and competence, but developed close ties to the local community.
