I previously was regular the tavern prior to covid, First time I've been there after change of ownership, never was I knocked back a table for 2 under previous ownership, what made it worse is the place was only at 1/4 capacity. Definitely not a tavern anymore and I doubt that I'll ever be going back.

We have been coming here for years and like the improvements the new owners have made.
However you do not need a waitress insisting my wife had 4 glasses of wine and not 3 which is what she had!!
I want the business to thrive as there are very few good 'English style' pubs around, so please train your staff to listen to your customers and charge them for what they had and not what the 'system' says they had!!

You guys have done an incredible job of revamping the venue. Your service is impeccable. We had a decent number of people sitting along with little people. The food was on point and something for everyone. Service was fantastic the staff have smiles, and good vibes. Even on a busy night we received amazing service. Incredibly accommodating. We couldn't have had a better experience! My husband bubs and I have honestly never received better service. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the kindest, most professional yet humorous, genuine and courteous gentleman at the front of house, and it was only up from there. The staff were delightful and the food, incredible! The environment also beautiful and so relaxing. Well done all, that experience will be hard to top! P.S - make sure you book!

A group of 9 of us went to the tavern. Every meal was really delicious. The new decor and atmosphere is really nice too, especially the outdoor areas. Also, the staff were friendly and helpful. Prior to going there, I messaged the pub for their vegan options, and as there were none at that stage, I was happy to settle for the salad and the greens. However, I received a big surprise when I got there to find that the chef had made me a delicious vegan entree and main meal. It was amazingly fresh and tasty food!!! Plus how nice of the chef to do this random act of kindness and make my day. I'll be

I've been up to Micawber a few times, and always have a great experience. Friendly staff, great range of drinks and food, and a second-to-none beer garden. They're recently dropped a tonne of cash on renovations, and the place looks great. Only downside is food can take a while to arrive - but that's part of the pub/tavern experience in my opinion. Highly recommend.

This place is a traditional country pub, nicely laid out with some areas for local boozers and a large dining area, plus a substantial beer garden. Nicely appointed and pretty homely. We came here after a walk up to the Sherbrook Falls, although we always intended to park, walk, and then eat, the parking does say patrons only so we had a worry during our walk if we'd get a fine or something before we had chance to return.
