With more than 50 years experience in the turf industry, Colliers know everything there is to know about turf from the subsoil up. We're happy to share that expertise whether it be the best grass type for your locality, help with measuring and calculating the amount of turf you need, we can even recommend who's best in your area to lay your turf.
Colliers Turf started in the Samford Valley, just outside of Brisbane. Turf wasn't cultivated in those days, it was a natural grass which we would purchase from the local dairy farmers. We started off with a 12 inch Ryan self propelled turf cutter (which we still have) that would cut the turf into 30 metre strips.

Sir Walter Soft Leaf Buffalo has firmly planted itself as Australia's favourite lawn, and Australia's best home lawn, with over 60 million metres being sold since it was first introduced in 1997. Why has it become so popular? Without a doubt Sir Walter soft leaf buffalo lawn has proved to be the best performing lawn turf for our harsh Australian conditions, from the cool tablelands, the dry west to the tropical north.
Zoysia is a native Australian turf that has excellent winter colour, low maintenance, drought resistant and can out compete weeds when established. It thrives in salty environments and has great wear tolerance. Resistant to lawn grubs with medium shade tolerance, Zoysia is an ideal fine leaf grass for Queensland.
Blue Couch is a favourite lawn type which often referred to as Queensland Blue, it is neither from Queensland, nor is it a Couch. It's nickname came from its optimum performance and suitability to this region. It is commonly found in sports fields and parks across SEQ. Blue Couch has an attractive blue/green colour and is low in maintenance due to slower growing and minimal seed heads compared to standard couch varieties.

Colliers turf was the best sir Walter I’ve seen and grown, very easy to grow. I laid it in my front yard and come up a treat with all neighbours commenting how good it was and asking where I got it from.
After the front yard I laid some turf on the side hoping it will be the same quality the only difference is I made the mistake and purchased it from my local landscaping place out at north lakes. Highly regretted not doing the 45 minute to colliers turf.
