Launceston Occupational Therapy

Paediatric Occupational Therapists work with children who are experiencing difficulties with the activities that 'occupy' their day to day time. An assessment takes approximately 1.5 hours and uses a series of standardised and non standardised tests. This will include a discussion with you about your childs strengths and areas for improvement.

Recommendations for how Occupational Therapy can assist your child will be outlined. Working directly with your child on activities to promote skill level and confidence. Intervention may also occur in the school or child care setting. This helps promote a direct relationship with the staff, working with your child to ensure carryover of therapy into their daily routines.
