Yarra Valley Aviation is situated at Lilydale Airport, on MacIntyre Lane half-way between Lilydale and Yarra Glen. A fantastic training aircraft and also a great little plane to have economical fun in, our three Jabirus have helped train hundreds of qualified pilots, and are responsible for more than a few ear to ear grins! The aircraft is fantastic little plane to fly and learn in. The fuselage is smooth with aerodynamic fairings fitted to the wing roots at the leading and trailing edges.

Take in the breathtaking Great Ocean Road from the air AND the world famous Twelve Apostles, in just 1hr flying from Lilydale. Departing the Yarra Valley you will fly past the CBD then along the edge of Port Phillip Bay to Geelong before tracking direct to the Twelve Apostles. We then descend to just 1,500ft and fly West then East so everyone on board gets great photos of these spectacular cliffs.

To hire theyre aircraft you will need to do a flight check every 90 days. Not necessary. A money spin.
Friendly staff but lack giving correct information.
If i had to do a flight check every 3 months for all the aircraft i hire from various airports/airfields i wouldnt have any money left to fly solo.
I can understand an initial check to see if a pilot is proficient , but every 3 months is unnecessary.

We had a lovely time at the airport. There was an air show being held and it was a spectacular event . There were enough activities for everyone to participate in activities for children such as face painting jumping castles. For the adults and families there were facilities enough for everybody and plenty of food available.

I booked it in for my first flying lesson 2:30. The people sounded really nice!!
They were also very helpful and I havn't even flown yet!
I have flown now and all I can say is they're very helpful as I have only 20% of my hearing the pilot had plenty of time for me and was very helpful and freindly, Five Stars +
