We are happy to travel to see clients in the privacy of their own homes. This can be especially beneficial to clients who, due to injury or illness, have restricted mobility. Patrick McComish understands first hand the difficulties and frustrations faced by injured workers. Pat had back surgery in 1998 due to a severe workplace injury.
Pat hails from Belfast, Northern Ireland where he studied at Christian Brothers Secondary School before moving to Australia in the 1980s. Pat's interest in personal injury law was influenced by his own personal experiences. Before becoming a solicitor Pat had a variety of manual jobs including but not limited to taxi driver, security guard and painter and decorator at Lord's Cricket Ground.
Sharon was born and bred in Warrnambool. She began working in the legal industry 20 years ago as a junior and then as a personal injury assistant. She became a principal of the firm in 2020. Sharon mainly works on conveyancing and property matters and has extensive knowledge in sale and purchase of land, 173 agreements, subdivisions and general property law matters.
Matt grew up and completed school in Casterton in Victoria's south west. After he was admitted Matt then joined the team as a solicitor working extensively in the Magistrates' Court in criminal and intervention order matters. He has since expanded his practice to include criminal trials and pleas in the County Court.
A "worker" who suffers an "injury" arising out of or in the course of employment may be entitled to compensation. A recurrence, aggravation, acceleration, exacerbation or deterioration of any pre-existing injury or disease*;. A worker who sustains a workplace injury may have a statutory entitlement to compensation pursuant to WorkCover no fault scheme and common law damages where serious injury and negligence can be established.
