Our clinic philosophy revolves around quality one on one time between yourself and your therapist during which we prioritise a high level of explanation and education with a "hands on" treatment emphasis and close exercise supervision. We believe one on one time with you is important, so our consultation bookings are set up to accommodate this.
Hi everyone, We are currently open for business and are continuing to provide quality physiotherapy treatment for our clients with extra hygiene routines taking place to keep our workplace safe. However, with the current lock down occurring (again!) in Victoria we are only able to see limited people face to face.

Windy Hill Sports and Spinal Physiotherapy Clinic (WHSSPC) was established in 1994 as a component of the Showers Stand redevelopment at Essendon football ground. This happened in order to make way for a major redevelopment of the facilities at Windy Hill. Though our new clinic is only a short distance down Napier Street from the original clinic site, it is a brand new facility with it's entrance off the fitness centre foyer.
At WHSSPC we aim to provide you with the optimal, highest quality physiotherapy management. In doing this we believe we will achieve our aims and deliver to you the best possible service. We will specifically assess you in order to establish the type and extent of your problem. This may involve specific muscle or joint tests or the examination of a spinal region.
Massage or soft tissue therapy is a manual therapy which involves 'hands on' assessment and management of soft tissues. This type of massage therapy can vary from gentle relaxation and circulation stimulation techniques up to firmer, deeper massage release work often required by the athlete.
At WHSSPC our myotherapy/massage staff are experienced at establishing which type of massage techniques are needed to achieve your aims while working in closely with other components of your ongoing management.Their massage work frequently complements your physiotherapy management or the work you are doing in our Pilates program.

The Pilates Method was developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th Century in Germany. Pilates is a form of physical exercise that focuses on posture, core stability, balance, control, strength, flexibility and breathing. Clinical Pilates is a specialized adaptation of traditional Pilates. It incorporates physiotherapy techniques and is delivered by a trained Physiotherapist or Clinical Pilates Instructor.
Depending on movement speed and surface area presented to the water, it can assist or resist the movement as required. This is a unique affect which cannot be replicated out of the water. Hydrotherapy pools vary in temperature but generally they are warmer than normal swimming pools. Prior to commencing treatment your suitability for hydrotherapy will be assessed in the rooms at WHSSPC.

Ok called looking some info on post spinal surgery rehabilitation, receptionist just gave one word answers with awkward silence when I was expecting more so I asked second question again one word answers, about to keep asking for info but I just gave up and told her not to worry about it,really bad impression, I'll take my spinal recovery elsewhere.

I agree with the comments about the receptionists. I have attended this clinic before and have been overcharged by the receptionists who are unfriendly and not on the ball at all. One physiotherapist at the clinic is also quite unprofessional so I am now seeing a new physio elsewhere and things are much better.

The most rude receptionist I’ve ever met! I made an appointment for Thursday but they accidentally booked it for Wednesday instead. The receptionist called me on Wednesday to see where I was and when I replied I made a booking for Thursday she laughed at me and said I was wrong because they wouldn’t have made a mistake. Such a rude lady!

Hi, I am interested to know why "anon anon" is not willing to use their own name when providing such a negative review. I find it difficult to believe anyone who does not feel able to give their name when reviewing on google. In my experience, Windy Hill Physio staff try very hard to provide the best service to all clients. Judy Vermeulen
