Sewing has always been its own community, and at Zig Zag we enjoy being a big part of that. We love meeting new customers, having a chat with our regulars, and catching up with ones we haven't seen for a while, while offering a big, colourful and comfortable place for them to meet, and shop, and stitch with each other.
We welcome new-comers to our classroom with attentive tutors and neighbourly fellow students, offer a tremendous variety of quality sewing products in our store, happily give expert advice for even the trickiest questions, and most of all, pride ourselves on our good old-fashioned friendly service and support.

Choosing a sewing machine is a personal thing. To many of us, a sewing machine, overlocker, embroidery machine or quilting machine is more than just another house-hold appliance - it's a tool for our creativity, a way of making time for ourselves, and is probably the only appliance in the house that's just for us.
At Zig Zag Sewing, we love sewing classes, sewing groups and all of those wonderful social sewing events that keeps us smiling and in stitches. We are in the process of creating our new-look class list for 2021 with some very exciting new classes and the return of our popular ol-faithfuls!
If you haven't done it already, LIKE us on Facebook HERE to stay up to date with what's going on, and of course, sign up to our monthly newsletter so that a copy of our class lists go right into your mailbox.

My bestie and I popped into this shop after a girls weekend away. Zig Zag sewing is amazing and the staff are so friendly and helpful. I’m a novice sewist/quilter and they didn’t make me feel silly at all. It was a pleasure to meet the staff and to spoil ourselves with some equipment. I’ll definitely be back to buy fabric when I need it.

I have been going to Zig Zag since early 2014 to learn the software classes for monthly projects. Sally is just awesome and so patient with all my lame questions.
Had never done any quilting before I decided to learn digitising, so been on a HUGE learning curve. Sally and the staff have just been so awesome and CANNOT thank them enough.

I have been going to Zig Zag Sewing for well over 5 years now. I drive over 80kms to get there and pass other sewing shops along the way, but none of them are equal to Sally and her staff. There are 4 reasons I choose Zig Zag Sewing and they are Sally, Karen and Celia.
The fourth reason is when I was considering purchasing an overlocker most shops just seemed to want the sale but weren't interested in me or my needs. I am dyslexic and find it difficult to use the manuals so I would just leave the other shops very frustrated and disheartened. My husband could see me getting more and more discouraged

Rude owner. This shop ourserviced my machine repair and had it over a month! Problems weren't rectified and I had to return it 3 more times (under 3 month repair warranty) to get it fixed. Next time my machine needs anything I will take my business elsewhere. There are other people around that do it cheaper, faster, more effectively and don't belittle you in front of other customers both on the phone and in person. It's unfortunate the two nice ladies who do work for her have to have a boss who treats people that way.
