We must admit to not being great fans of Bali huts so you can imagine the dilemma when we bought a new house with a sizeable Bali Hut. The men loved it, the ladies had mixed feelings. They do have a certain colonial, romantic charm, with images of Marlon Brando in Tahiti, Somerset Maugham drinking his cocktails under a warm Asiatic sky.
It took two months of the Queensland summer to become total converts. The thermal qualities are amazing. Like a typical Melbourne day, it was tropical Summer on the outside and Victorian Spring under the cooling thatch. No thundering rain on a metal roof for us

These guys are brilliant! We had our hut installed 2 years ago with Brisbane Thatch & Decks. Johan & the installers were so good & the hut we needed was a custom 7 sided shape that the others wouldn't touch. "BTD" visited twice to recheck & fine tune measurements(& we are on the Sunshine Coast). After 2 years hut is still brilliant & such an asset to our outside living. So pleasant on a hot day, keeps very cool under. Don't go anywhere else! Gerry

Fantastic company to deal with, after being mucked around by another company for 16 weeks we rang Brisbane Thatch and they were out the next day and finished our Bali hut the same day and for a great price. All workers were very polite and extremely professional. We can not recommend this company enough for thier work and the piece of mind they have given us. Thank you Brisbane Thatch.
