Whether its a birthday, corporate event, or just a fun day out with friends, here's a list of reasons to consider chartering a sailing catamaran this summer. The real space advantage of catamarans comes from what is called the 'bridgedeck' - the platform above the waterline that connects the two hulls.
There are plenty of options when it comes to chartering a boat in Perth and WA, but none quite like us! Our beautiful vessel Capella, or 'The Yellow Cat' as she's affectionately known around town, has been providing guests with unique and unforgettable experiences on and in the water for 17 years. Eco sails, sunset sails, private charters, overnight escapes, snorkel tours and more.
Capella is a modern 12.5 metre sailing catamaran with several design innovations which set her apart from the rest. A Schionning Cosmos 1250, designed by Andy Jensen, no less, she is purpose built for entertaining. She boast a comfortable indoor saloon that can seat 12, with 360 degree views inside and out, plus a large stern deck and huge bow space for further 25 (total max capacity 37 adults).
For private charters Capella is licenses to carry 40 passengers. We generally advice no more than 37 adults so that an extra crew member can be onboard if required (most charters have 2 crew members, but we may use 3 if required). We find that 25 is a comfortable number of guests but up to 37 is certainly possible.

Just celebrated my birthday on Charter 1 with 25 of my amazing friends. What an amazing way to celebrate any occasion. This is an experience you won't regret. From the first time I contacted Charter 1, the experience was awesome.
The boat is absolutely stunning with a lot more room than I thought. We were all very comfortable. The crew were , friendly, accommodating and kind. The only downside is that the day felt so short which just mean we were having the best time.
I highly recommend Charter 1. I'll be a returning customer.

Had the most wonderful day out to Carnac island to celebrate my husbands 60 Th Birthday on 27/12/2020 with 30 family and friends.We swam , snorkeled, kayaked , paddle boarded and had great fun. The crew were professional and very helpful and a lot of fun and laughter was had by all. Would highly recommend Charter 1 and the beautiful Cappella for any special celebration!

The amazing staff and crew at Charter 1 made my wife and I feel extra special, with their attention to detail, and personal service. Nothing seemed to much. The BBQ at the Basin was awesome. It was just a perfect day. I would recommend anyone who wants to feel like a rockstar to have a day out on the Capella.
I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone who wants to go for a day sail out of Fremantle or Rottnest.

We recently had our company Christmas function on Charter 1 and were impressed from start to finish. Jules and his crew are extremely accommodating, knowledgeable and friendly. The yellow catamaran is a great place to spend the day to chill out and enjoy some time together along the beautiful WA coastline. If you are looking for a great charter company for a special event I cannot recommend Charter 1 enough.
