Life is unpredictable and a great coffee means you can take on whatever challenges you face. Learning and informing you about sustainability and social issues connected to the world's coffee trade is of great importance to us. What we call "socially conscionable" coffee trading adds both an interest and a consciousness, not just about the product, but also the people that are involved and the environment they live in.
Services
Starting out as a small corner cafe with a batch roaster in the back room, we have steadily grown into one of the most recognised coffee brands in North Queensland. Today we roast on a 35kg Loring Smart Roaster and distribute our coffee throughout Australia. Tell us how often you want it delivered AND pause or restart your subscription at any time.
My grandfather retired to Spain in the 1960s, As a child when I visited him, I acquired a spontaneous and intense liking of espresso beverages. Early mornings and early evenings were spent consuming muchos cafes espressos in the local tapas bars. A ritual which I confess to retaining to this day.

Back to 1997, with 20 years in the accounting profession behind, I purchased an Australian built 3kg fluid air bed roaster and put it in a shed in Aitkenvale.Back then micro roasters were few and roasting in its infancy, with practically all roasted the same x3 coffees together, in different proportions and with different roast profiles.
We know and understand the coffee business and will be a strong partner at your side to bring your business to the next level. Our staff is continuously trained in international workshops to get the latest information and knowledge of the industry - and they are encouraged to pass it on to you. Best cold brew (and the only place I've been to with a selection of cold brew varietals!) and the staff are super friendly. Definitely check it out if you're in this corner of Oz and need caffeine.

Great selection of 6 cold brews on tap and another variety bottled (plus 3 overlapping). I actually had an espresso at MJ's before this place, but when I tasted the cold brew my wife got there, I had to grab one as I was in need of a great coffee. They let me try a variety of taps, and they were all unique, with lighter and darker flavors to suit your pallet. We went with dark roasts, which tasted similar to taps in specialty coffee shops in NYC and gave us a jolt for our drive to Daintree. We also grabbed a donut churro, they'd started serving food a week before we visited and they

Pretty nice spot on the way to Townsville airport. Attracts a significant cyclists and fitness crowds in the morning with added benefit of a drive through for the people on the rush.
There is a screen on the wall also which shows the latest flight states which I think it's a pretty clever idea. Due to being couple of mins away from the airport would make a good waiting point if you're waiting for a flight to land or a delayed flight to be confirmed. It's likely that the coffee and the food you get is better in quality and also cheaper than the ones in the airport premisses.

Very contemporary looking coffee shop inside (industrial look with wooden bar tables), with a wide range of products from espresso to nitro brew on tap (!). Some of the items like cold brew or nitro brew are limited, so be sure to go earlier to get them.

The cappuccino was surprisingly good for a remote town, and way better than I had imagined. (Ok, I know, small places can have passionate baristas too). This is a solid coffee place to stop by if you happen to travel to this town.

Great place for coffee. Passionate and funny staff, reasonable prices and always well made coffee. Really wish they did some pastries or something as they have in the past. Can get very busy especially during Sunday Markets.

Very nice coffee - there's several options and blends with daily changes here. It's a real coffee lover's place and they treat their treasure very well. Smiles and good service abound too - thank you.
