Think Livestock
We carry a full range of spare parts for all our equipment (and we can fix them for you too!). Of the many steps Australian farmers take to improve the biosecurity of their farms, one significant threat is often not taken seriously enough. The provision of safe, clean drinking water is hugely important to the prosperity of any livestock farm.

The costs, in terms of productivity losses and mortality, of not doing so can be astronomical. Think Livestock are specialist suppliers of vaccination and water medication equipment for Livestock, including sheep, goats, poultry, pigs, horses, alpacas, beef and dairy cattle.

Dave has had a long and successful career in a variety of Livestock related industries over the past 35 years. After graduating with a Diploma of Agricultural Science from Longerenong Agricultural College in 1976, he worked as an animal attendant at a local pig farm in Bendigo (then known as Mayfair farms).
This category covers our range of "add-on" products, as well as spare parts and maintenance kits for our vaccination and drenching equipment. We will continuously try to identify and list here other products that you might need to use when vaccinating and drenching your livestock (other than the vaccination gun or drench gun itself).
Many farmers now prefer having the vaccine pack or medication bottle connected directly to the gun. In situations where you might need to put the gun down between tasks (at lamb marking for example, where multiple tasks are carried out in one location), the bottle mount gun can be a huge time-saver.
When we attend field days and talk to sheep farmers, we hear more complaints about inferior drench guns than almost any other tool used on the farm. Guns that get blocked, suck air, won't refill quickly enough or don't deliver the right dose seem to be a common problem for farmers. There are certainly a number of things to get right when you design a drench gun and we believe our offering satisfies most areas extremely well.
When we refer to injectors, we are talking about vaccinators which are capable of delivering higher volume doses of 12 mL or more. These guns are usually dial a dose, with a selector wheel which allows the operator to very quickly change the dose up or down to dose livestock based on weight, when you have a variety of different sized animals in a single draft to treat.
