There are many ways to bring your life partner to Australia, for a visit or to settle permanently. There are visas for fiancs, married spouses and de facto partners (including same sex partners). New Zealand citizens (who are automatically given a work visa on entry) can sponsor their partner for a 5-year temporary visa with work rights.
If a New Zealand Citizen has a partner and/or dependents who are not New Zealand Citizens, there are visa options for these close family members. If you are a New Zealand Citizen without permanent resident status in Australia, you may be able to apply for it. These cases can be complex. If this effects you, please contact us to discuss it.
Employers must only employ legal workers, or face fines and in some cases criminal charges. Job seekers need work rights to start a job in Australia, or face visa cancellation and removal from Australia. There are also options for religious workers, graduates in Australia, entertainers, seasonal workers and many others.
The Australian Government will be auditing the pay of work-sponsored visa holders (temporary and permanent) using data from the Australian Tax Office. They will be checking to see that these people are paid at least as much as the government was told they would be. The government is planning to publish the names of those caught in non-compliance.

Christine has been nothing short of amazing in getting all the paperwork needed for an emergency trip back to the UK during this pandemic period. She has also been proactive in our transition from PR to Citizenship. Christine is both professional and proficient, but it is her personable approach which sets her apart and nothing seems too much for her. I can guarantee she will not stop until the job is done!

This is an update to a post/journey that started just over two years ago.
My wife and I engaged Welch Law to apply for my partner visa. Christine took charge and with very clear and concise instructions was able to keep the financial outlay to the budget quoted. Both Temporary and Permanent Residences came through in much shorter times than quoted by Immigration Services, no doubt due largely to Christines immaculate filing and QC'ing.
Additionally when she called to tell us the good news I could tell she was absolutely delighted for us. Not only is she efficient but she gets genuine pleasure
