Vettiger Vidler Engineers manufacture and supply a wide variety of gears in case hardened steel and materials such as stainless steel, fibre, nylons, bronzes, high-tensiles, aluminium and many others. Examples of gear types include spur gears, helical gears, bevel gears, mitre gears, worm and crown gears.

We have a broad range of lathes with capacities up to 1.2 meters diameter (in the gap) and 6 meters long. Supplementing our manual lathes is an Alpha Harrison NC controlled lathe, which is used for complicated profiles and production work. It has a capacity of 400mm diameter x 1500mm between centres.
Some of our many capabilities include the manufacture and repair of gears, shafts, spline shafts, repair of worn needle roller bearing areas, hot and cold metal spraying, supply, repair, re-fluting and re-grooving of feed mill rolls, line boring, repetition work, surface grinding, as well as all types of welding.
